The geological marvel of the Colorado National Monument is just 17 miles from the Urban Ranch Venue, this is an incredible drive through spectacular red sandstone canyons.  Pack water and snacks and enjoy one of the many hikes along the route.   Keep your eyes out for Bighorn sheep, deer, raven, fox, and more.   This is a fee area.

Grand Mesa National Forest


Want to say you've been to the top of the largest flat-topped mountain in the world?  Grand Mesa National Forest is filled with back country nature trails and adventure opportunities.  If you are planning an event in the fall, these vibrant Aspen trees always give an incredible color show.

 Historic downtown Grand Junction's eclectic shopping and art district is just a short jaunt from our venue.  Boasting great dining, art, nightlife, antiquing, coffee shops,  Downtown Grand Junction is a great way to spend your day and capture fun photos while you go.  You can even sit on this awesome bike crafted by local artist and friend, Alvin Sessions.

The Urban Ranch Venue is in the heart of luscious Palisade fruit and wine country.  

Enjoy touring the local mead and wineries while checking out the arts and crafts that are on display.  One of the tasting rooms even has fudge tasting!  

Make sure to take the fruit and wine scenic byway to  East Orchard Mesa and visit our friends at Carlson's Vineyards.  They make the sweetest, romantic concoctions.

Cider, Fruit, & Juices


 Talbott's Farms is located in Palisade, Colorado which is west of Denver and just slightly east of Grand Junction. They are located on Palisade's fruit and wine byway and are a favorite among bicyclists and Sunday drivers.

Honeybee Festival


The Palisade International Honeybee Festival was created by a group of business owners in Palisade, Colorado wanting to gather the community in celebration of it’s agricultural roots and to bring attention to the threatened honeybee population.   Join them every April for educational opportunities, chef demonstrations utilizing Palisade honey products, local vendors, honey wines, costume contests and other fun family activities. 

First Fridays - Art Hop


A favorite among local artist and art-lovers, First Fridays in Grand Junction are a great way to experience the wide variety of artistic talent in the area.  Numerous art venues and galleries throughout the valley are open late on the first Friday of each month 

First Fridays typically begin around 6 p.m. and go until around 9.
